On December 30, 2011, legislative amendments in the Georgia’s organic law “On Political Unions of Citizens” came into force. According to the law, monitoring implementation on legality and transparency of the political parties registered in Georgia was entrusted to the State Audit Office of Georgia.
Within the framework of the mandate granted by the law, the State Audit Office of Georgia works closely with all political parties using effective communication methods, what considerably simplifies the receiving of information on time and analysis procedure.
Those responsibilities, which are entrusted to the political parties, are written in the Georgia’s organic law “On Political Unions of Citizens” in details. All the actions, which will be carried out by avoiding the regulations of the law will cause the responsibility envisaged by the Georgian legislation.
